Once described as 'up-and-coming' by a promoter who'd never listened to any of his music, Sam Tucker is a skinny white kid with an acoustic guitar from Sheffield. Having spent a few years trying to grow up and deciding it wasn't for him, he started to follow his dream of being paid less than minimum wage to stand on stages, singing at strangers.
Oft-likened to Frank Turner, and counting the likes of Will Varley, Nick Parker and Gaz Brookfield among his influences, Sam brings an infectious energy and a bucket-load of charm to every performance. He's played gigs as far afield as North Devon, and in such prestigious venues as Nottingham's Bodega. With his debut EP recently launched, he's on the lookout for gigs anywhere and everywhere.
For live performances and fully-acoustic sessions, check out his YouTube channel.
Finally released on all major streaming platforms, the 'Disappointing Sandwiches' EP features five original tracks, jumping between themes of love, loss and uh, drinking perhaps a bit too much. This has been an absolute labour of love.

Scott Doonican (Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican)
"Sam Tucker... if I am a Bar-Steward Son of Val Doonican, then he's the Bastard Son of Frank Turner. A wandering troubadour with a big guitar and a bigger heart. His original material is incredible; poignant, funny, clever... he's the thinking man's bard."
Angie at Bow Promotions
"Anyone who hasn't seen or heard Sam Tucker? Make a change, like his page, give him a listen and go and see him play. He is simply one of the best new upcoming solo artists I've seen in a very long time."
Martin Clark (Long-time supporter of the Sheffield Music Scene)
"Sam is without any doubt one of the most endearing performers I've ever encountered - adding loads of his own personality and style not only to his original songs but also to the couple of covers he played. I'll certainly be watching him live again - well worth checking out if you get chance!"
